Hi Everyone,

I have a 2001 Ram 1500 Wagon which i got a few months back and i am facing a peculiar issue with my OEM stereo unit. Couple of weeks back I had to disconnect the battery and reconnect it to clear a code caused by an engine additive.

Anyway when things came back on, the stereo is stuck on the AM band. Pressing the AM/FM selector does nothing. The AM is totally fine. Did the battery disconnection / reconnecting fry something on the board . Let me know what you folks think.

Thank you so much in advance

A lot of old radios won't pick up FM if the antenna is lose, only AM will get picked up without an antenna ... had a civic and wouldn't get any FM at all, wouldn't even switch to FM ... pulled the radio out and the antenna connector was burnt out for some reason ... maybe surge did it ?
