What would cause sticky brakes on a 1yr old truck? If Im in drive and press the brake all the way down then release, it takes almost 5 sec for the brakes to fully release and for the truck to start moving.

Also, it feels as if the brakes are not fully retracting and I am having constant resistance while Im driving. Thoughts?

Does the truck have the "hill holder?" If so, maybe it's malfunctioning. I have a 2014 and was pleased to see I could turn it off. It was driving me nuts every time I take off. It feels like someone is holding onto the bumper for a split second. If you have it maybe it's malfunctioning?

Hill holder on an automatic is laughable IMO. The stick shifts we all used to drive didn't have hill holder and somehow we survived.

No "hill holder"

Just started happening after installation of my rear lift. All I did with the brakes was remove the calipers and then put them right back on.

Did you put the right fluid back in? The wrong fluid can cause seals to swell and cause the brakes to drag

I didn't actually disconnect any lines, just removed the calipers from the wheels

Put it in neutral and push it. See if it feels normal. You might be due for a brake service but ive never seen brakes " take 5 seconds to release" they are either on or off, unless you have a parking brake shoe dragging. A jammed pad would be unexpected for a new truck that is daily driven. If you want to get more physical get the truck up on jack and start turning those wheels. Report back.

Possibly too much brake fluid in the system. Try bleeding your rear brakes a little bit and make sure you don't over fill the reservoir.

Also have a look at the rubber brake hose and make sure you didn't accidently put a twist in it when you put your calipers back on. That's all I can think of my friend.

Are the rear lines stretched out now that the rear is lifted? What about the e-brake cable?
Could be no grease on a slider pin, or a bunch of other things.
Question (as I have not taken my calipers off the truck yet): Does the caliper piston need to be clocked at a certain angle relative to tabs on the brake pad?? Some vehicles have tabs at 12 and 6, and the piston has to be clocked to match those, or the pad will appear to be sticking but it just cannot fully back away from the rotor.

Curious what makes you think it's the brakes. Does is continue to feel as though the brakes are on if you let off the brake and don't hit the gas?

Being that it happen after you lift, I just wonder if it might be something else causing the resistance. As for brakes causing the problem, I would first check the brake pads and make sure they're not binding up. They should move somewhat freely with the exception of them being hooked to the piston and caliper.

Next I would check the pistons themselves and see if you can compress them. If they're locking up, they will also cause the brakes to always have a little pressure on them.

Thanks guys for the suggestions of what to look for.

I dont know for sure if its the brakes but I dont know what else would cause the rolling resistance and slight vibration in the pedal.

Just throwing out ideas on what else I can check

What's your drive shaft angle look like? You're not binding up there are you?

I'd look around for wear on everything. See if something is rubbing or touching where it shouldn't be.

As mentioned just before, your e-brake cable isn't stretched too far is it? Maybe dragging a little?

I would agree with the twisted brake line theory.
When a fresh problem crops up it usually is a good idea to double check your last "repair".

See, i went through and loosened and retorqued everything, but not the brakes bc i didnt have my jack.

So between the driveline and the brakes there has to be something there.
