I'm looking at and RAM Sport and of course it has the 20" tire and rims. As I was on my way to work today I was stopped at a Train crossing, that is at an intersection. I need to turn left at, and so did the guy in front of me. The train was crossing ahead of us, not to the left, but the gate comes down in a spot the will not allow to make the left turn on the side road. There is a median curb that is about 6" tall by about 3' wide. Well after sitting for 15 min the train comes to a stop, with the last car sitting in the road way. So the guy in front of me and I drove over the median (I know its wrong, but that is not the point.) to make the left and not deal with the train.

My point is trying something like that with the 20" tire and rims on the Ram. would I have bent a rim? This was from a stop so it was low speed, it just seems like my 17" tire on F150 allow more cushion when going over something like this. These tires are more like a car tire than a truck. Just want to make sure I'm looking at the right package.

Thanks

I have a sport with 20's and I take it off roading sometimes ;) no issues as of yet. I put BFG all terrains on them though. Either way, it's a truck, not a sports car. I think it would have been fine :)

It all depends on the size tire you're running...if you're running the stock size, with some sidewall on it, it's no problem.

i drive over curbs when dumb idiots sit like 30 yards behind a car blasting off a text, so the answer to your question would be no, get a good angle on it, and go.

Thanks just want to make sure it was not going to be something that need to be up graded right away. After all its a truck it should handle this kinda stuff, to a point of course.
