So my exhaust is basically stock, aftermarket manifolds so it has a pretty nice deep rumble esp when the rpms get high. I was thinking about putting a magnaflow muffler as a cherry bomb to get some good sound. My tips are cut off along with the resonators.

I talked to a friend and he said I should straight pipe it and add tips, any pointers as to what I should do?

you'll lose torque going straight pipes, def louder but less ' Giddy Up'

Just my opinion, but since that is what you asked for ...

Nothing says "I'm just out of High School and I want everyone to look at me" like straight pipes and a heavy foot. No sound mechanical reason for them (at least as far as I know).

Find something with a deep tone and a bark under acceleration that will make you smile but doesn't set off car alarms a block away.

Again, JMO

Tons of options out there. I would suggest listening to vids of the exhausts that interest you. I've had wild to mild and over time I've come to appreciate mild.

Nothing wrong with either of your initial options.....but I would definitely go with some sort of muffler vs straight pipes. Just prefer the sound better....less popping and crackling.

With stock headers, it'll be LOUD but not window shaking. If you're like me and have ARH catless and got rid of resonators and went straight pipe you'd get pulled over pretty quickly for the ear rupturing sound that would come out. I'm running 18" flowmaster knockoffs and a long tip at the end and it's still a bit too loud.
