I have a stripped out stud on one of my rear wheels, thanks to Discount Tire.

2014 BTW..... where can I order a replacement, and how hard is it to replace?
I have not seen anything about this online.

Dealer or any online parts place should be able to get you one for a decent price. I hope its as easy as hitting the old one out with a hammer and putting a new one on.

i think somebody on here was able to change one out without pulling the axle shaft, but it may be easier/faster to pull the shaft then to fight with it. pretty sure the service manuals say to pull the shaft for replacement.

It's pretty simple to replace. Pound it out with a BFH and the rotate the hub so it will clear the back. Put alittle grease on the new one and hit it with an impact.

Any auto parts store will have them. Studs are the same from 03-curent

They actually are not the same.... the 13+ I believe has a different thread pattern. I know my lugs are M14 x 1.50. My 2010 were a different size. Thanks for the info!

if you attempt this repair you should do a write up on it... so others can see! :)

Shouldn't Discount Tire be made to fix this if they did it? I've had 100% great service with them for 20 years.

Discount tire has torn up too many of my studs... The one here pays the shop next door to fix it but it's still a big hassle

I had to do that 30.years ago on the side of the interstate going through Atlanta. 72 Malibu , broke 3 studs off. Not one of my better days.

Been there. Around 1988. Had a 75 LeMans Sport Coupe. Just like this but blue. Broke 4 studs on left rear. Lucky I stopped before losing the wheel.

It happened a while back. Still works ok but it irritates me. Plus it's a hassle to prove they did it etc. it's a cheap fix and I'd rather do it myself to be honest.

I had this happen to mine too and I was able to get it replaced without having to pull the axle
