Stupid exhaust clamps couldn't take the power!

Last night I detuned the truck..........tuned with a "tweaked" DSP tune (trying to decide if I want to hop over to a custom tune) and took the truck for a spin.

Popped out on the main drag, floored it. I heard a nice hiss sound...........and I let off. Hmm..........this ***** is loud. Check the cutoff...........its closed. Hmmmm.........why so loud? Pulled over, crawled under it, got me a nice exhaust leak (I could hear it walking to the other side of the truck). F it, took her home, parked it. It was dark.........I'll deal with it today.

So at lunch today, took a look. Ummmm........well, my clamp must have slid a bit, now the cutoff is holding on from the back and I have a 1/8" gap from the front pipe to the cutoff.

Unbolted the clamp, repositioned, done.

Guess one of these days I'll have 'em weld that f'er up. Still leary..........I like that I have the stock pipe in the garage for "inspection" time.

Well, I guess my Hemi says its time to move to a custom tune.

You mention the cutout and passing inspection....had mine done last month, and I rolled in with my cutout open. The inspector had just pulled the truck in the bay and while it was running, I walked up and said, oh I forgot to do something. I reached in and grabbed the remote and closed it (it got quiet of course). I looked at him and smiled and said ok proceed. LOL

I had mine inspected a few months back. Had it closed........they did their thing. Passed it. When the guy rolled it around for me, he hopped out and said "I see the cutout.........but I can't find ANY switches for it, and its not a manual one. I can't fail you because it doesn't look functional". I had the remote in my pocket. I hit the button and said "Have a nice afternoon". We both

I'm probably going to hit up Sean, want to get the truck used to the tweaked one first - make sure I don't have any issues........the last DSP I ran on my truck just didn't sit well, and as most of you know - I haven't been so kind to Diablo after that. LOL

But, looking for a change, and its not like I'm seeing crazy ass threads of failures all over the place. Time to have some fun.

I didn't get too far down the road the truck was bucking like crazy. Something was F'd up on the tranny stuff somehow. I removed it FAST.

Hell...........I had one of the first DSPs on the market back when they released............had it for a day and sold it.

nah, if I were reading any issues.....I woudln't have even considered putting one on the truck.

when i ran the canned DiabloSport tune on mine it was fine, no issues. i don't have any issues with my current custom tune from Sean either

the canned tune i dont think it can be much better but having a tune made for your truck is always better
