stupid question concerning in-channel vent shades

So have a set of AVS in-channels on the Ram, I installed them last November. I've read where some vehicles have the shade go between the glass channel and the steel window frame. Others go actually in.. IN the channel itself so that when the window is rolled up it's glass on plastic.


Which way do yall's work? I ask because I've long since tossed the instructions, and can't find an actual website for AVS.

My Weather Techs are 10 years old,and go between the window and channel. Never had any issues with them.

I did Google a good bit before posting, just hadn't found a video for a 4th gen Ram. Never had in-channels before so it seemed odd to have the plastic acting as a sealing surface against the glass.

Mine are glass on plastic, no problems here, been on for 3 years now.
