Subwoofer Recommendations

Hey guys, I own a 2012 5.7L Big Horn crew cab and looking to upgrade the speakers. I would also like to add a Subwoofer in a box under the back seat but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a box, amp, sub, combination?

Just did an install on a '12 that replaced all 6x9 with the Alpine Type-R and a pair of the the Type-R tweeters in the sails. For the sub we used an Atrend prefab box and an Audiomobile gts 2110. Sounds very nice and has many convinced that it's 2 10's. Everything is run off an Alpine PDR-V75.

All in the system tuning took some a few hours to get right but having the tweets in the sails brought the sound stage up and helped to make everything blend. We ended having to back the sub off after a few days.

A few days later we were back in the dash and pulled the 3 Alpine dash speakers which made everyone very happy.

Do you have the food flat flooring and if so are u trying to keep it?

I would recommend Rockford Fosgate Punch series the P1694 for the speakers, for the subwoofer the Fosgate P3 Shallow subwoofer. Great sounding setup.

Whats your budget?

Arc Audio Subs and amp. Size the box in accordance to the sub you are installing for either ported or sealed specs.

Arc subs range from $200-500+ Amps are $500-1000+

I use the plugs and play Kicker 10" that is purpose made for the RAM. Includes an amp and installs clean for $418...

I have JBL speakers in the doors and a pioneer amp powering two Skar IVX subs.
