I have had seven Rams over the past 12 years. I took a break in 2024 and tried a Tundra (save that story for another day). Came back to a 2026 Laramie crew cab with the Hurricane SO.
I tow a 29’ boat, about 8000 pounds, 800+ tongue weight. I had air suspension on my past Ram but decided not to check that box this time. I knew it would squat without some help. Used the Sumo’s on previous Rams so went back to them. Great addition to help with squat and ride comfort. Truck is unaffected when unloaded as there is a gap in the Sumosprings to the axle. On a hard bump it engages but not jarring, just a bit firm. Loaded with the boat, truck stays level, rides nicely, great low cost solution. If you tow and need some help, but want to avoid airbags, this is a good solution.
