Sunroof seal, drive cables 2013

Can anyone provide insight around the replacement of the sunroof glass seal for a 2013?
Also, the cables to move the glass seem to be jammed. It was a working unit but was overflowing in the drain channel in the rear, thus dripping on headliner.
I am trying to install a new glass seal and now the glass is jammed "down" but will slide back easily. The glass will not go to the "up" or vent position. I have already dropped the entire sunroof frame to troubleshoot the situation.

any wisdom would really be appreciated.

does anyone know how to calibrate the closing of the sunroof? It is now moving under power but not fully closing.
