I've been playing around with the different tunes offered with my cortex tuner, while running 91 and 93 octane.
When I first got the tuner I went straight to the highest performance tune with 93 octane in the tank. Liked it until I switched to the Eco tune.
The Eco tune for better gas mileage, I noticed a little more get up and go over the 93 performance tune. I still ran 93 octane with the Eco tune, up until last week. As soon as I loaded up with 87 octane, it didn't run as well. Not bad, the motor just didn't like it as much as the 93 gas, lost a little power that's about it.
Now I have the 91 performance tune installed running 93 octane, I feel this tune I've gained the most performance out of all I've tried. I feel a tad bit more get up and go with this one vs the 93 tune which has me a little confused but oh well.
As far as mpg goes, I was seeing up to 17.3 mpg all city with the Eco tune with 93 octane not using my ac. As far as the other tunes go, I saw 13.3 to 14 all city while using my ac.
Just thought I'd give an update for any guys running superchips that haven't messed around with it much.
I'm a 4.7 with 3.55s in the rear and 2wd for those who might be wondering about gas mileage
