Hello all!
This may be a long post but it is important to put everything out there.
So I went to get a tire rotation this weekend on my truck. I have a 2015 1500 with 2" leveling blocks in the front from Supreme Suspension and BF KO2s on all corners.
I saw some uneven wear so I asked them to look and see what they can find to why that was happening. I thought maybe I just needed an alignment for some reason.
I brought the truck to Tire Kingdom close to where I live.
The tech brought me outside and showed me some uneven wear on the numbs of the tires where it looked like some were wearing more than others. He said that was often because of suspension wearing down but he was going to look it all over and see what he found.
I have not done any suspension work other than the leveling blocks.
After an hour he called and said one of my rear shocks were leaking and my front struts are going and need to be replaced.
I toyed with the idea of them doing it but wanted to do some research first.
My idea was, as I told them, if I am going to do new suspension then I want to do leveling struts, remove the blocks and replace the shocks in the rear.
The tech told me that If I wanted to do that then I would need to also put in a 1.5" coil spacer for the rear, which I have not heard of for leveling the truck out.
After replacing the suspension I was told I need to do the alignment and re-balance my tires bc the tires are about "2oz out of alignment as is"
My questions are:
Do I need to put the coil spacer in?
How bad is 2oz out of alignment?
I am looking at Bilstein and Rough Country and weighing them out on which ones I want. One better than the other? They wanted to put Rancho Oem replacements in and keep the leveling blocks.
Any suggestions?

I’d go bilstein and set them at 2.1” and you should be fine. No need to touch the rear. Just new rear shocks and good to go

Good idea to remove the blocks and go with leveling struts. Personally I would recommend the Bilsteins. Just put mine on front and rear with the fronts set at 2.8 and I haven’t felt any decrease in ride quality. I had 3” of rake, so I didn’t put a coil spacer in the rear and it turned out almost perfectly level but each truck will be different. That being said, it’s definitely not a requirement to put a coil spacer in the back. Some trucks will end up nose high after the install, so adding a coil spacer is just a way to compensate for that.
