When I drive off my driveway and the wheel roll of it , it sounds like the tire drops down hard and it makes a clunk noise. What should I look for to find what is the problem?

Front? Rear? Be as specific as possible so the ram gods (not me) may enlighten your ailment.

I'm sorry about that. It is front. I will try to raise and check the joints and other stuff. But I would like to hear experts opinion on that.

Is it lifted? If so how much, what kind? Lowered, same? What size tires are you running and have you checked your shocks to see if they are still good? Is it 2wd or 4x4?

Mine was clunking, but only when I made a hard right turn to park. Turns out that one of the bushings worked its way out of the lower control arm. With 125k miles, I ended up rebuilding the whole front end.

It matters because issues can vary greatly based on the questions we asked. No we're not picking on you, just trying to help

I think it's the flux capacitor. Haha I'd check all your bushings especially the sway bar

When it comes to suspension, here's a quick list I can think of for relevant questions at the "first phase" of diagnosing over the internet.

1. What year?
2. 1500, 2500, 3500, etc.?
3. 2wd or 4x4?
4. Mileage?
5. Last time suspension/drivetrain work was done?

Those tell us what sort of suspension your truck has, how old it is, and if mechanic error might be at fault. Some parts wear out at regular intervals. Without knowing that, the only answer anyone could give you is, "it's probably suspension related".

My advice would be to roll under there and take a look at your ball joint boots and give everything a tug to make sure it feels tight. Then I'd report back here, preferably with pictures of everything (especially if something doesn't seem right). We can't diagnose it if we don't have all the facts.

Sway bar bushings, sway bar end links, upper ball joints, lower ball joints, upper control arm bushings, lower control arm bushings, tie rod ends, tie rod inners, the steering rack, hubs, brake calipers, caliper bridges, torsion keys, cv axles, transfer case, driveshaft, u joints. Any of these things could be at fault, and depending on the first questions, you may or may not have some of them.
