Hi I'm New here I have a 2013 sport 5.7 65rfe 300000 miles cam finally went. found 2022 motor, trans ,transfer case, front drive shaft . I have the center counsel shifter with +\- manual shifter in it from factory . I don't know if it is different than 8hp70 swap for wiring ect in other discussions . was wondering if will my shifter work and how can I tell if I might have wiring for 8 speed option in truck all ready . would appreciate any help .

Your shifter won't work, but the Challenger/Charger/Jeep shifters will.Get ahold of Russell at Sound German Automotive for any questions you have. Also if you search the 4th Gen section, you'll find a couple good threads on this swap.

Hi talked to Russell he is 2 to 3 months out on wire harness . So I'm putting the 5.7 in my 2013 sport and will do trans later. motor 2022 5.7 with 47000 miles on it out of 2500 a few questions . oil pump was thinking it might good to put the Melling hv pump in before I install it and would it be a good idea to pull cam out to look at with out pulling heads or just leave it . I don't know if they made any improvements to the 5.7 lifters cam etc. my 2013 has 260000 on it the #2 intake cam lobe wiped out but ran great for a lot of years it don't owe me anything last question would be what be best stuff to do before install . thanks for any feed back.

You'll get more benefit from upping the idle rpm, then you will from the HV oil pump. The cam is lubed strictly by the oil flung off the crankshaft. When the engines sitting on a stand, that's the time to throw a cam in it. Your 13 is easy to tune/up the idle rpm, even a crappy Diablo handheld tuner will let you up the idle rpm,but HP will give you alot more options to tune it .
