Swapping running boards?

I have a 2017 2500 Laramie crew cab short bed with chrome running boards. I was going to give them to a buddy with the same truck but with a long bed. Before I do, can anyone verify that they will fit up just the same, just a little short of the rear wheel because of bed length?

Yea, I’m aware of that part. Just wasn’t sure if mounting holes were the same on both. I’m thinking they are, just figured I’d ask before starting the process. Thanks
