Synch iphone podcasts with uconnect

After downloading new podcasts on my iPhone and plugging it in to uconnect the Carplay app doesn't show the new podcasts. So my question is how do i synch the podcasts on the phone with the Carplay podcasts? Thx

i assume your other media apps work with car play? What app are you using to play podcasts?

I'm using an iPhone X w/ ios 15.0.2 with the Apple podcast app
