Anyone added a LED tail gate light to their truck? I like the extra visibility. Ive seen some that have the backup light built into them. I just would like to get one but looking for suggestions. I don't want any Amazon junk. I'm about over buying crap from Amazon that doesn't live up to the hype.

I thought these were played out a few years ago. Everyone I see on the road now only has 60% of the lights working.

I added a Union Pacific 36864B dual function light, but I just use the Stop light. These same lights that are OEM spec on heavy duty trucks(tractor/trailer).

Yes. Curt wiring harness adapter(you can get a 4 pin or 5 pin) plugs in line into trailer hitch behind bumper for hidden wiring with adapter pigtail to plug 4 or 5 pin whatever into

If you buy an Opt 7, make sure you get the "red" turn signal variety. Tht amber color doesn't match our trucks well. I just installed mine and it was the 2nd best modification I've done since buying my truck last year. The HID lows and LED fogs were the first. I love the reverse light. No one will ever "not notice" you backing up. Change out the reverse lights for LED bulbs in the taillight housing for the complete effect.

I put the opt 7 redline triple. Been rock solid. I mounted inside the rear window tight. I never thought the tailgate was a great place because every time i have to wash mud or saw dust or whatever out of the truck i goes right to where light bars usually are mounted.

Plus i like the look and I think it is way more visible in traffic.
