Tailgate Lock Buzz

For the second time, I have unlocked my truck and heard a buzz from the tailgate lock. I couldnt find much on this, it must get in a weird spot and when I press it again it unlocks. Just curious if anyone else has encountered this.

Sounds like the solenoid is sticking. I haven't heard of this problem in our trucks before either. I'm thinking it shouldn't be that hard or expensive to replace if it gets worse. Maybe check the tailgate wiring too.

Maybe the Lock Actuator is going out ?

This exact thing just started happening last night to me. It will lock fine, but when trying to unlock, it makes a buzz and will stay locked. Have to use my key to unlock.

mine sometimes makes that sound on the rambox. when i hear it i know that one of my boxes didnt lock. if i press the lock button again then it usually locks it

Check the grounds at the back end of the truck. My truck used to do the exact same thing,the dealer replaced one lock assembly under warrenty,but it still did the same thing,would sit and buzz ,then i did what's called the Big 3 cable upgrades,and part of that was running a new #4 battery cable from the frame to the box,after that its never gave me any trouble,that was 7 years ago.
