I don't believe so. the latching mechanism is different on the 74 vs the 92. the 92 has a more modern car door type latch. the 74 has the old home entry door type latch.

hes right the 74 tailgate has 2 tabs that stick out on the bed, if you weld those on the newer bed the hing mechanism on the bottom is the same. so minor fabrication would allow it.
