So I ran into a store for 10 minutes and come out to find my 2 month old truck being kissed by a runaway mustang. At first I was dumbfounded to see it empty and then began to fume a bit. The owner evidently left the car in neutral and didn't set the parking brake! (can you say head-up-their-*ss?)
It was a smaller lot so I couldn't park as far away as I like to, but in typical fashion I was away from other cars in a near-empty aisle (along side another like-minded RAM, leaving a space between, lol).
Thankfully it was a pretty level lot and it didn't gain much momentum but definitely made impact.
I proceed to take pictures and wait for the owner to come out. I took his info and when all is said and done I see there isn't a scratch on the bumper as his brake light hit squarely into it, cracking his lens. Not sure how a plastic bumper would've fared - I'd imagine some scratches at the least.
I'm not a chrome fanatic but it just shows it does its job well as a "bumper".
Just another scenario to now look out for when parking....
