So I just picked up a 2003 2500 hemi in trade for my 2000 dakota 4.7l and it's a clean truck for the year. the body and interior are mint and still has undercoating and a new lift kit anyways, the engine ticks but very loudly like almost a considerable knock and I found my throttle body and intake air box had like oil blow by residue all over it so I cleaned them and put in engine restore in hopes of an easy quieting of the noise but no such luck so I'm here. My exhaust is brand new from after my cat to the end but since my cat is old could it be plugged and over heating my manifolds? I've heard a few people tell me to check my manifold bolts and that's my mission today but what is the tick caused by? It sounds like my lifter or rocker arm and the check engine light is on but I haven't been able to scan it yet
