The factory cross over pipe?

Recently bought a 2014 Express Hemi, and was looking at how the two pipes are flattend almost in half where they merge to join into the 3 inch pipe.
Does anyone make a better merge collector thay can be welded in at that junction? Seems like other than the factory muffler,this is a major restriction point.
I will be swapping out the factory muffler for a 18 inch Magnaflow.

when you order your magnaflow muffler, go ahead and order a magnaflow y-pipe connection. dual 2.5" in - single 3'' out. It's a pretty common mod done here to help slightly improve exhaust flow.

I'm not a huge fam of Flowmaster, but have done some reading and it seems their dual 2.5" in/3" out 'Y' pipe has better construction and flow characteristics than the Magnaflow piece many buy.
Just food for thought.
