Maybe he had bad electrons in it, but I think you need to go to the Scat Pack for a claimed 11 second car. The R/T is a step down in power.

Either way, not something I'm interested in. I almost started a thread on how laughably terrible the marketing for this car is but figured there's been enough piling on.

The only Scatpack that Dodge claims 11 seconds for is the 1320 Challenger and they claim 11.7 for it,the rest of the Scatpacks they claim 12.2 for.
They're pretty well spot on for the 1320's,my wifes fully optioned up 1320 ran 11.80's right off the showroom floor at 3,000ft da. And it's heavy as far as 1320's go,as it has every available option you can get on a Challenger, from sunroof to adaptive cruise.
Little 1 minute video on the 1320's with Jim Wilder when he was head of the SRT program.Listen to the lag on the 2-3 shift, they put a pile of torque management into the 1320's to keep it's 8HP70 alive, they should of stuck the 8HP90 into them and they could of reduced the torque management and probably picked up another tenth out of the cars.
They're the only 8HP70 that has a tranny brake, they also come through with a high stall convertor and differant shift mapping compared to a normal Scat. You push the Drag button on the dash, and it's a whole nother animal,as the suspension goes into full drag mode, like the 2018 Demons, and the shift points are at 6400/6500 instead of the normal 5600 rpm

I meant the EV ones like in your video, not the real ones. It comes in either R/T or Scat pack. The guy racing in your posted video has the R/T, the lower one.

*edit*

Yeah, here you go: https://www.dodge.com/charger/performance.html

You have to get the Scat pack for the 11.5 second 1/4 mile claim. R/T is claimed 12.6 which is pretty inline with what the guy in your video did.

Credit where due, it is kind of neat they managed a 50/50 weight split. Combined with AWD, maybe it will handle decently?

I've yet to see a private individual racing the scatpack version, outfits like motortrend / car and driver have done tests with them, but i don't really believe their test results. I would rather see somebody racing one that they bought off the showroom floor, then a magazine style test,as i don't really trust the cars the magazine guys get ,alot of times they get a better car, then what the average guy can buy at a dealer.
I'm hoping one shows up at our local track this year,to see how it stacks up

I'm definitely with you on trusting magazines or manufacturer numbers, but I think these things are so self driving they'll probably be pretty close to real. I mean, it's not like you're actually launching it or shifting gears or anything. It's so close to autopilot you may as well be in the passenger seat...

I still don't know WTF we're going to do fleet wise. Dodge is pooing the nest and keeps pushing back the 'big reveal'. Order banks were supposed to be open 3 months ago and we've not even seen a prototype in person yet. As far as I know, not even any word on pricing.

I read a bit of an article today where Tim was even upset with how long things were taking to get to market, and if the CEO is yelling about it,it makes me think, when they do materialize, they'll have been rushed through, and we know what happens when Stellantis gets in a rush, run far away from those vehicles :Big Laugh:

Honestly, if Ford still offered the Interceptor we'd have already jumped ship I think. If I was fleet manager (and I'm very very glad I'm not), I'd be nervous AF about this generation for exactly the reason you state. We've been very resistant to the SUV transition due to the cost of vaults for long guns and other sensitive equipment, but I'd not be shocked if we go that way before I retire.
