hey guys, recently had a 6" suspension lift put in my 2014 ram sport. now i am entertaining the idea of adding a 3" body lift with it. my questions are pretty simple, will i have visible gaps, will i need to relocate my tailpipes, and is it a difficult install, what about the bumpers? any and all information is appreciated. also anyone recommend a good kit? keep in mind im in canada, so a cdn distributor would be ideal.81D560E9-B37F-4457-9627-B76BA482A318.jpeg

I had a 3 inch body lift done to my 2017 Ram and it looks great! When I still had the stock front bumper on I believe it just mounted to a bracket included with the kit. My new low profile bumper needed some tweaking by the shop but ultimately is where it should be now. My tailpipes definitely need to be raised up as they are now 3 inches too low. I have a Performance Accessories lift kit and Bilstein 5100's at 2.8 up front with a one inch spacer in back. Personally, I am glad I had it done but it can make aftermarket parts fitment problematic.

I have a 6" suspension and 3" body lift, had the exhaust redone and running 37x13.50x20 on 20x12 rims, for me its the perfect height and wheel stance for a lifted truck. These trucks run the body lift very well, no gaps anywhere on the truck and its really hard to tell if it has a body lift unless you walk lol under it hahaha, you won't be sorry, all the best.

cheers

Looks great.
Are you guys just angling your tips? Or how are you raising your exhaust?

I am still thinking about adding the 3" body lift on my truck, only thing that has stopped me from doing so is the RBP power steps, the mounting brackets for the steps will end up hitting where the body mounts are and they need to be cut about 1" x 2" high on an angle to allow the step mounting brackets to clear the body mount ... if it wasn't for that I would of already had the 3" body lift even though my truck fits in the garage right now lol ...

Do the AMP steps have the same issue? Both RBP and AMP mount their power steps to the rocker panels, yeah?

Yes both have it, what happens is when you lift up the body from the frame, the steps mounting brackets stay on the frame of course and they end up hitting just a bit ... I will post some pictures later on of where exactly this issue lies ...

That would be awesome if you have pics of how they mount. I've got power steps on the todo list but also have a 3" body lift.

Ok here you go ...

In the 2nd picture you can see where it was notched so that the step's mounting bracket can clear it when the steps retract ...

Aahh I see, thank you. That looks like the rear cab mount? That's a pretty significant amount of material that's removed. Power steps might be off the list and the lady may need to just jump in/out. :/

There are a few people who have done it and haven't had problems ... some have welded a reinforcement piece around it... trying to find more pictures , when I do I will post them

i did the zone 6 inch with 5 in springs in the back, 2.8 bils in front and back, some 1.5 body lift pucks, looks perfect imo after adding 5 in exhaust tips. the body lift is super simple to install if you have an angle grinder and hammer drill. The 3 inch lift i think would show too much underneath and look off.
running it with 37 13.50 20
with the 91 can tune, sb cai, flowmaster outlaw, and throttle response adjuster it's surprisingly ballsy
