Yes and yes.

Thank you. Yeah I forgot to mention that the kit also came with a big in-line fuse block with 2 side by side-mounted 50 amp fuses. I’m assuming it’s ok to take one of them out since this amp only needs 50 amps of protection?

But yeah, I got everything yesterday, just no Stealthbox yet as it’s apparently coming direct from JL.

Just leave it in. It's there if the other one ever blows lol surprised it's only 50amp tho. Mine came with a 100amp fuse block

If I leave it in though, won’t that make the circuit have to exceed 50 amps by quite a bit to blow one of the fuses? As you can see in the pic, both 50 amp fuses are making contact with the fuse block. I just figured that that was Crutchfield’s way of killing two birds with one stone by having their fuse block work for two different applications- 100 amps, leave both 50 amp fuses in tandem or if you just needed 50 amps, remove one of the fuses and keep it in the glovebox as a spare. 2c5085ef63f79623255c2720b84ba988.jpg

I didn't see the pic of it but dual fuses should be hooked up in parallel for 2 amps leaving the other in would have no affect other than that now being hot but if it has a cover over it no big deal

Ok now I'm confused, never seen one like that. Don't see the point of that cause current will take path of least resistance. That makes it look like both fuses have to blow to stop current

Usually dual fuses that I have seen are like this

I just figured that if you wanted 100 amps of protection that you’d leave both fuses mounted or if you just needed 50 amps of protection that you’d have to remove a fuse.

Ya just never seen them do that like that. If you needed 100amp now you are replacing 2 fuses if it blows lol

Yeah, that’s a new on me however I’ve only ever seen one other fuse and fuse block like that and it was just a single like, 125 amp fuse or so like that to protect the the 2 gauge wire I had bought to power a 2500 watt inverter I had in a big rig back when I ran over the road.

I guess it’s a good thing I won’t ever be using this fuse block to blow at 100 amps. I’d just assume get a much bigger fuse block and an actual 100 amp fuse if I needed protection from that much draw.

I started going with 12V circuit breakers for the main power so I never need to try and find a fuse. They're about the same price as a regular fuse holder with fuse most of the time and if you blow the circuit you just reset it.

The fuse should be rated for the size power cable being used. Nothing to do with the amp. It has its own fuse.

Have been reading a lot on this

yes you want to protect the wire , The fuse/circuit breaker at battery should be rated for the wire's capacity as it is protecting the wire

Just like the fuse's in the amp are rated to protect the amp's capacity

Let me know which way you end up going, im kinda lost on where to get signal for the LC2i. Not to sure from the rear speaker wires or from the alpine sub connection.

I used the sub signal, makes little difference, all the speakers are bastardized from the Alpine amp

The sub signal works well with the LC2i though , the Accu-bass function really makes all the difference as you can set it to eliminate the roll off from the amp

That's why I spent the $249 PAC interface for my alpine system. It sound incredible!!! Everyone That as seat in my truck are super impressed how clean and pure it sounds, the bass knob is awesome coming out the PAC. If you looking to buy s LCI 2, spend the xtra $150 you be glad you did

yea the Amp-Pro or the DSR1 will give you a unaltered signal, if you all in for an additional amp or a 5 channel

Have you installed your DSR1 yet? I still haven't done mine, but I have it and everything else now ready to go.
