I have a 2007 dodge ram 1500 I just put a truck cap on it and i'm trying to hook up the third brake light. I hook the hot wire to the brake light wire on tail light wire on the truck. But that wire also controls the turn signal. when i push the brake it works but when i turn the turn signal on the third brake lights blinks. Just can't get it to work right. Hope hope someone can help me out Thanks.

It does have three wires, the only problem is its a ground, a turn/brake, and a running light. To OP: The only way to make it work with just the break lights is to run it to your 3rd brake light. The 07+ lights are a pain to wire up any aftermarket brakes or light bars.

thats what I thought really don't want to do that. I like to keep all the wires hidden.
