This tailgate drives me nuts!

So, As some of you know I have been working on getting the tailgate sealed up a bit, mainly to keep the dust out on dirt roads etc.

All is well, except for the bottom of the tail gate. It's killing me. Because I have a spray on bed liner, it simply destroys ANY seal I try to stick along the bottom edge. I have even tried TruxSeal and that failed dismally.

When the tail get gets shut, the spray in line (being very abrasive) simple rolls over the seal and either tears it to shreds, or peals it off completely.

Surely I am not the only one out there with these issues. Any suggestions, or what you did, I am all ears!!!

Try covering the spray edge on the tailgate with a rubber tape so it doesn't tear up the seal. You could try using Gaffer's tape to test if it will work.
