Only real reason for a spacer is to increase Plenum volume in the intake. Helps move the power UP in rpm or compensate for bigger motors with the less than ideal intake. I've seen so many dyno runs with and without spacers that unless you run a mountain motor at WOT all the time, you really wont see any gains. The weather could have a bigger effect.

Can you post a better picture of the run conditions on those two graphs they sent you?

I can't see them 100% clearly so I don't want to make any claims for sure but it looks like on the first one the baseline run was done an hour or so after the run with the spacer. Whenever I make a baseline run its my very first run....something doesn't quite seem right to me.

That is all I got... they were emailed to me. I wish someone could provide actual proof of dyno runs with and without a spacer. I looked and searched, no luck. It makes me feel like I got to do it to find out for myself. It amazes me that the proof on paper dyno runs are not available. I just can't settle for he or she said information. Others who wonder and want to know, feel free to research and post up gained info here.

The biggest thing is finding 3rd party unbiased results which are hard to come by these days.

I run my own ATV Chassis Dynojet Dyno and find it very interesting testing different products back to back. I know its not the same scenario as a TB spacer on our trucks but from what I've seen from certain testing is that a TB spacer isn't going to make huge gains. JMO

With no change to runner length or diameter I think any gain would be minimal at best

Thank you both. I personally am convinced gains are minimal. But hey, that is the name of the game... a little here, there, in the end adds up. I am actually worried if these things are causing a loss in horse power, or torque. I became a fan of these from getting noticeable results on a 4.6 P.I. engine. Of course I went ahead with port and polish on the plenum,t.b., and heads. I have the spacer I bought still installed because I haven't felt or noticed and loss of power. I monitored gas mileage and it came down to my driving habits changing too often for work and personal difference. Appeared to me that with a few WOT passes, and city+highway driving combined 400 miles to a 26 gallon tank was pretty good. The only other time I got that many miles without the spacer was only highway driving, cruise control set.

Its such a wait for dyno runs here where I am at, so I may just remove it for the moment and pay attention to things like throttle response, mpg, and acceleration.

A friend put one in his Silverado... Only difference it made was a faint whistle sound under moderate throttle.

Zero gains in performance or mpg.
