Even though it's only $85, thought I'd ask for any opinions/experiences anyways. I'd be doing light hauling (mostly landscaping supplies in the bed, and the occasion travel trailer) in my '15 1500 and was hoping to offset some of the squatting that I've heard so much about on these coil spring trucks. AutoAnything has them for $87 w/free shipping.

Thanks!

I've been researching this kit myself. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on it, reviews have been pretty favourable.

Everyone loves them for the price but it's not a permanent solution. If you haul landscape supplys all day every day your better solution is to upgrade the rear coils with the tuff truck higher capacity coils. For weekend warriors that haul from time to time the air lifts are well worth the money but over time they tend to spring a leak and you have to air them up all the time. But for occasional use worth every penny.

I'm definitely more of a "weekend warrior" type landscaper. If all goes according to plan (HAH!) I should be done with the bulk of my landscaping by the end of this summer. After that, it would be mostly used to towing a small boat or travel trailer (under 7000lbs).

They will work fine for you. I run them in my 2wd. And pulling a 5k lb trailer I get about a half inch of sag at 25psi in the bags.

I'd skip them and go to the airlift 5000 bags. If I could do it over I would have waited to get the 5000 bags when they came out this winter.

This is with 40 psi (5lbs over max) in the bags and 900 lbs on the hitch.

Are you using the 1000's or 5000's in this pic? Looks like little to no squat all (the angle makes it kind of hard to tell).

I haven't leveled the front of the truck, so I assume with a bit of weight on the back I would still be "level" if I were using the 1000's?

Sorry I'm using the 1000 airbags. There is 3" of squat with the trailer on. With 400 lbs on the hitch it sits perfectly level with the airbags at max. That is 1" of squat

I have had on 2 occasions 1000+ in the bed of my truck once was 800 of quick crete and about 500 in lumber sat probably 3-4 inches down and then I had probably right around 1000 lbs of tools and welders in the bed of my truck and it sat about the same and it drove just fine and I don't even have the air lift 1000s. I know weight in the bed is different than weight on a hitch (more leverage) but I think the 1000s will take care of everything you need, 5000s would be nice but takes more to install them and is more expensive.

thanks everyone, went ahead and bought the 1000's. For ~$85, can't go wrong. If they fail in the next couple of years or I find I'm hauling a lot more than expected, I'll upgrade to the 5000's for sure.
