I kinda mentioned this in another post about my accident i had but i figured it diserved its own thread.

2016 Ram 2500 6.4 mega cab 12" lift 25k miles all for the price of $41k

Screenshot_20190923-182450_Chrome.jpg

As for the tires themselves, they have a bit of cracking. Maybe from age or poor storage idk.

Windows seems like 5% tint all around. I was sitting in it and my wife didnt know where i was lol

As of right now, i have a quad cab. My kids are growing and i can feel it in my back. Might have something to do with their knees but not sure.

What do you guys think of the price vs what i would be getting?

Right now i have a 12 ram 1500 sport 145k miles

I had my wife almost on the hook but she backed out. Give me some ammo for the argument about why we need this trade lol

For that much might as look for a 6.7lL IMO. I would never but a truck with a lift on it unless it was for off road.

KBB lists those from between $31k to $38k. But it's up to you more than anything else. I'm assuming it has a standard Uconnect 3.0 seeing how it is a SLT

As much as i would love the diesel, my commutes are short. By time i got to where i was going it would have barely made operating temp.

As for 2nd hand lifted trucks, id rather buy a pavement princess. That way i know the biggest obstacle it has faced was the speedbumps in front of the grocery store.

Yeah that is true diesel would be torn up by short runs. I never really liked lifted trucks for work or daily drives. It's almost worthless you need a forklift just to load groceries. Also more wear and tear on drivetrain.

Mega cab is a great option for a family, I'm on my second one. BUT that one is way over priced and too modded in my opinion. You are looking at a 8 mpg on a good day with that thing. Those tires and large offset wheels are going to be hell on the ball joints and hub bearings so plan on replacing those before long. I see a money pit there that's what I see.

You are trying to convince the wife you need a larger family truck but that screams 20 year old single kid truck. Got no ammo for the wife on this one, she is right.

I agree about the cons of lifting a daily but there are also pros. we spend so much time in our vehicles getting to where we need to go that i have a firm belief in modding how you want it, consequences be damned. Plus i like to be able to see 2-3 cars in front of me in traffic. I can see hard braking before it becomes hard braking for me know what i mean?

Where do you live where a 20 year old kid can afford a $38k truck? I want to move there! Lol

Someone once told me,... "when you buy a used car, you buy used problems. When you buy a new car, you buy new problems"

Take that with a grain of salt but i automatically assume anything i get will need something soon

I say go for it if it would make you happy and you have the means then thats all that matters. And for dailying a lifted truck i have no problems doing that including getting groceries.

Not my cup of tea but at least its truly level and not jacked up in the front! I laugh at those guys with the huge tires sitting a mile in the air with their one chamber flowmasters thinking their going to win a stop light to stoplight dig with that setup against just about any other regular pickup truck but hey its your money so do whatever makes you happy! In the end that's all that matters.

You live in that area lmao. Go work a trade 3 years in a union you will be making 30+ hr lol. Get your journey man card $45+hr. Even non union is paying $30+ hr with anyone with experience. I can put guys to work with zero experience $20hr $22hr with drivers license.

I could afford it and more in my early 20's single no kids and an electrician with OT. Have less money now making sure my kids end up doing better than I did.

As long as you realize what your getting into with the fuel mileage and higher costs from wear and tear. It sounds to me like you want it, so I would go for it. Life is short. Besides, if you had bought a 30k dollar truck and did all these mods yourself you would be spending the same if not more. Its funny to me how the viewpoint is different if you buy a built truck vs doing it yourself. If you bought this truck plain and posted pics saying look at my truck now, there would be 100 people saying how much they love it!

Upon further review, i really dont think that is a 12" lift. Still looks good though.

This is a 10-12" lift. Notice the difference in radius arms. The blue truck looks like it still has factory radius arms. Also note how much higher the body sits in relation to the tires.

That thing looks like the circus came to town.

I’d tell the kids to keep their damn knees to them selves.

It’s going to get real old climbing in and out of that thing. And it going to be real EXPENSIVE.

But you do whatever makes you happy

Zero chance I’d buy it even if they came down 5k. Too much potential corner cutting on the suspension and most who raise it that high properly (10k+ vs. $1k) wouldn’t sell it so quickly and if they did, they wouldn’t need to dump it at a used car dealership. Pretty truck but man that could be problematic.

This is a valid point. I think i want to change my vote. I would for sure find out what kind of lift this is. You don't want to find out that it chews up a set of tires every 10k miles.
