I have seen and read lots of post about a 4.7 to 5.7 engine swap. I havent seen the answer to hooking up the throttle question. We are doing a swap and Everything is all good as far as engine in truck. I need real info on hooking up the throttle. Truck & Hemi (5.7) are 2003, using the original 4.7 harness & getting computer re-flashed. The 4.7 is cable throttle and the 5.7 is fly by wire.

1. Does anyone know if there is a manual (cable) throttle body to use for these?
2. If there is a cable...can we just go with a standalone system to tune...What is a good standalone for this?
3. If no cable available....how can we hook up (fly by wire)throttle. Some people say use the APPS from under battery from another truck? Still need to know How does this get wired?

I haven’t done this swap so I’m not much help. But I would try to find the pedal assembly from a Hemi ram. The 03 style has a cable pedal running underneath the battery to the APPS module. Then it converts to electric signal running to the throttle body.

Some years ago I ran a megasquirt controller which uses a cable drive tb. I used a LSX 90mm tb with an adaptor plate. It being a 03 with a cable throttle going to the remote mounted APPS you should have no problem connecting something to work.
