time to rant!

Going to go on a little bit of a rant! LOL youve been warned!



well today, was exiting the freeway and theres a turn I needed to make pretty much immidiately after exiting, and because of some son of a ***** in a furd ranger blocking me I ******* missed the turn and theres a huge parking lot that leads to the street but i was already passed that so I turned into the next parking lot and hoped it was connected but it wasnt, but there was a ditch that was pretty grassy so I couldnt tell what I was getting into, but I said **** it, and eased through it and was almost out, but then I felt myself starting to dig/spin, and didnt wanna risk getting stuck, so I eased back, and went to turn around (had some serious flex goin on on my little 2wd), about out and I stop ******* moving and im just thinking ****, cuz I already knew what happened. My drivers side rear was up off the ground, and spinning. I wasnt going anywhere. Thankfully, there was a distributing place in the corner of that lot and a semi was getting his trailor loaded, and I swallowed my pride and went and asked for help and he was really nice and glad to help. got me out in a jiffy.

I was so pissed that I didnt even take pics...and for being stuck, my little 2wd looked pretty badass LOL

anyways rant over...but after this.....

4.56 gears and a LSD are moved to the tippy TOP of my mod list! I would have been fine if I had a LSD, but the open diff ****** me.

I know im not a 4wd, and I dont do any hard core offroading, but it would be nice to be able to make it through **** when I need to.

So gonna order a few things this paycheck, and after that, saving for my gears and LSD. Maybe even a new tq converter if I have enough. lol

4wd = slow and crawl it.

yeah Iv gone through some iffy **** before and thats pretty much how I do it! and iv always made through fine lol, first time iv ever got stuck. I couldnt blast through that **** this time though because I was worried about my bumper bottoming out and cause damage, cuz it was a pretty steep drop and quick transition up.

i love my LSD....

but about the truck, a 2ed with a LSD and a good driver will go anywhere a 4x4 can go. Case and point, my buddies 94 saturn SL2 sedan vs my other buddies 05 Jeep wrangler Rubicon, front and rear posi. Off roading and rock crawling (okay pebble crawling) that saturn kept up and went everywhere the jeep went thanks to the LSD up front. Sure, it might not have been as smooth as the jeep did it, but it still did it and thats the point. You will notice a HUGE difference in capability once you get the LSD, you might not be able to spin all 4 on dry pavement....but you will be able to get to so many more places!

This happens to the best of us. About 10 years ago I had a '99 1500 with an open diff. I cant even count the number of times I got stuck on the beach. Having a limited slip out back would have helped ALOT!!

LOL off I-10, do you know where that big "the room store" is, on the corner of britmore? theres a ditch between the room store parking lot and the shopping center to the left, I might have made it if I kept on the throttle but I was starting to feel slipping on pebbles, so I was trying to play it safe lol screwed myself hah
