And he said above. Buy Long block if you are doing do it yourself or with a friend. As long you have all tools, time, and experience. Otherwise completed engine "should" save you money.
If you going to have someone else do it, with Long Block. They have move parts from your current engine to long block. If any of those parts on your current one are bad, you will have replace them.
They are going charge for that, also chance they screw it up.

The one you are posting is Long Block. The one @Wild one is posting is complete. it's discontinued but should be fine.
Benny should be able to give price for completed new version. likely cheaper than $7-$8k from Mopar direct Or buy the MMX Crate one.
I did get the link from Benny and it was the same as your link but the picture there shows a complete engine with the intake but Benny told me if there's metal in the intake then I'd need to buy a new one and he sent the link and it was like almost $700 so obviously the image in the first link is not correct because that shows the intake on it and if that was true then why would he tell me I might need an intake? If you go back to the link you just posted and look under details it even says "SERVICE WARNING: If The Original Engine Has Experienced A Catastrophic Failure - Including Piston, Cylinder Bore, Valve, or Valve Seat Failure - The Intake Manifold Must Be Replaced With A New Manifold." so obviously it does not come complete with one...

I don't think you're understanding the differances between a "Long Block" and a "Crate" engine. A crate engine is complete,a long block is just a block/heads/cam no intake/oilpan/timing cover etc, while crate engine has all that.
MMX is still showing Crate engines in stock, did you contact them.
Get ahold of them and see what they have in stock.

I understand that. I sent them a message. Many places show a crate engine but it is not complete like we know or the pictures show it's just an image to get you looking. Even Benny told me I might need an intake even after sending me the link that showed the "crate engine" that said you would need an intake. ( allmoparparts) I sent MMX a message. Dealing with daughter and food poisoning from Jersey Mikes at the moment so looking here between puke clean up lol. Everything else on my truck is OK so parts swap would be fine but I would like one like the MMX picture.

If you take care of it, service it properly, and don't have any CEL on for misfiring, I'd say you're ok. The $$$, time, and effort to dig into the truck that far would add up very fast! Also never forget that just because something is new doesn't mean it's ok. I had a brand new international truck with the maxx7 diesel V8 come in needing a new injector and it hadn't even been through pdi yet! Also if it's your only vehicle you're also looking at needing a rental or Uber or whatever. With all the being said, I do have a friend who had a used 300 break a chain at an intersection on him. We've got no idea how the person/persons before treated the thing. The morel of the story is it can happen but I wouldn't let it keep you up at night

true, things are a gamble. I just saw the other night a brand new 2025 RAM with about 700 miles on it back at the dealer and they don't know what's wrong with it! I'd be filing for the Lemon law or something screaming at them for a refund!
I just found a local RAM 2017 same as mine with 110,000 miles on it for 23 but like you said you never know. I could sell mine for 5, 7 or 8 grand they way it is and then depending on the warranty from that place be in the same boat 3 months from now but with a 23,000 loan payment!

I'm guessing it was an early 300 pre 2011,as there were issues with the early hemi's having tensioner issues, that would mess up the chain.

I honestly don't remember what year he said it was. I'm fairly certain his truck is a 12 but I don't remember what year the car is.
