Hey guys, I'm getting my windows tinted all the way around tomorrow. I was originally gunna get the fronts done @15% and the backs to match. But need suggestions because I'm having second thoughts bc i dont know if it will be too dark so i might do 20%. What do yall recommend? I def want it dark enough that it's hard to see inside the truck but don't want it too dark I can't see out at night

5% or go home lol.. 15% would be nice. My ole lady has 15% on her Jeep. Can't really see inside the Jeep from the outside during the day, and no trouble at all seeing during the night. I had my truck done in 5 all the way around. It doesn't bother me at night time. But if you're wanting them to match maybe someone here can chime in and help. Good luck

20% will be plenty dark with the factory tint being around 20% as well. Make sure it's legal in your state.

I have 35% on my fronts and sometimes I feel it's too dark, especially in the rain.

I live in North florida so it's legal to have 20% on the front. With that being said most of the cops in my city don't care what % you have. Seen alot of cops with 5% which is weird to me but I guess they want the samething I'm after lol

I run 20% on all my vehicles. It also depends on the color of your interior on how dark it looks.

15% on the front two and a layer of 20% over the rear three windows (which are roughly 20% from the factory) is pretty dark on the outside and matches on the inside fairly well. Personally, visibility hindrance at night is minimal until you get closer to 5% on the front two.

I do window tinting and I did my 2014 ram 1500 express night rider edition with just 2.5% dark tint. At night just backing up is hard to see so I just installed aftermarket backup camera that I wired to toggle when I need to see. During the day it's just right for me. Eyes are light sensitive.

I have 25% on the fronts of one of my trucks and I have trouble seeing out of that at night. It's mostly just a problem when I'm turning left or right and need to be looking that direction. I love it in the summertime though, much more comfortable.

I have 2.5% all around (including on top of the factory rear glass) and a strip on the windshield. It certainly makes driving at night interesting at times in less than highly lit areas. It does look nasty though :)

My girls VW CC has 20% and it is a good compromise of dark but still having visibility.

I like 20%. Cops seem to like it too because I've never been hassled.

Interior color and if you have a sunroof makes a huge difference. Both vehicles have 20%.

If I had to do it again I'd go 15% on the caddy because of the white interior and giant sunroof.

I have 20% on the fronts, 50% on the windshield

Anyone who says they have no problems seeing at night must only drive on lighted streets.
I live in the country and I can not see out the sides when going around corners or turning.

I did 15% on my truck and it matches the rear perfectly. 5% tint strip on the windshield.

I have 5% all around (rear, sides, windshield strip), here in Florida I'm legal because I got the exemption. I've done this with the exemptions on all my vehicles since 1994. It's easy to get, costs less than $10.00, and saves a lot of hassles.
