I recently traded up to a 2024 Bighorn 2500 Crew Cab. This week I had the TPMS indicator come on and TIRE PRESSURE UNAVAILABLE show up on the screen. It's been mentioned in a couple older threads, but none of the threads seemed to offer info in response. It's stock (no lift, no upgraded tire sizes, etc.) with ~20K miles on it. I don't drive in mud and haven't been through any fields or across any beaches. Thanks in advance if anyone's got info about what is causing it.

Following. This just happened to me last Monday on a road trip to do some camping. It went away after about 80 miles and hasn't come back since. We just got home early this afternoon. We had to extend our stay because it was so dang nice up there on the Mogollon Rim. This was our first tow with the 6.4L 2500. The truck did just fine there and back again despite the numerous 6% grades.

I would load test the battery with a toaster-style battery load tester like this $18 device from HarbourFreight.


AFAIK, the RF Hub cam misbehave with a lower voltage from the battery.

I've read about FOBs not functioning well over distance and erroneous TPMS behaviors when the battery voltage is only slightly low.

I got it a few times in my 2021 2500 when it was new. Since I gently seated all of the fuses and relays in the fuse box in the engine compartment about 4 years ago, has not come back. About 1/3 were not fully seated, same was true in my wife's Grande Cherokee with respect to fuses not all being fully seated. Don't know if that was the fix or just a coincidence but happy either way.

I forgot about that. I had some gremlins in a Jeep I owned and after seating the fuses and relays they never came back.

It's happened once more. I'll consider it a gremlin, like the windshield washer not liking RainX, and ignore it.

It might prove interesting to measure the battery float voltage while this is happening.
If the truck is running, the alternator should make up for any battery difficiency except maybe a flaky cell.
