Tire Question

i was thinking on going with a 295/70/17 all terrain tire. i have the v6 3.7L how much will my milage drop? i have 245's now. im sure i can clear them with a 3Inch body lift + what i have in my signature. also if anyone knows any good deals on tires anywhere i live in florida. thanks.

gonna have issues with goin from a 245 to a 295. the main issue is because you have a v6. those tires are gonna strain that lil motor. not only will u need the lift, i would also strongly sugguest to change out your rear gears. other wise those tires are gonna drastically bog you down. your safest bet would probably be like a 4.56 at a minimum 4.10. you do the body lift, and the gearing with the tires and your mileage shouldnt drop down that much, maybe 1 to 2 mph. if you dont so the above it'll be alot more lost

also for tires i would look online, 4 wheel parts, tire rack.com, etc. might be able to come out cheaper by having them sent to your house n then put on compared to buyin them from a tire dealer. that isnt always the case though. so i would suggest to shop around

I went to a 285/70 from a 245 and probably lost around 1mpg at most but that is with my 4.7. Also I would look on tirerack or discount tire direct and check prices at local shops
