What are u guys doing when putting new rims on with tire sensors. Is there a bypass or do i have to transfer then over. Would like to keep old rims for winter set. How much these sensors cost. Could add to my decision of keeping stock rims

I transferred mine over. The tire shop got me 4 kits to reuse the current TPMS sensors. Wasn't that expensive IIRC.

I purchased new ones on eBay for $45 brand new. I'll see if I can find the seller.

I had new ones thrown in my new wheels. Talked to a guy at a local shop and he told me they're life span is anywhere from 4 - 7 years depending on manufacturer. I told him I could get new ones thrown in my wheels for $40 each and he said do it. If I had him order them and install he said would have been at least $75/each and maybe over $100/each.

FWIW, if you ever break the Stems you can order just that part off amazon for $5. I did this when the tire shop wanted to charge me $60 for a whole new single sensor.

Like others have stated, any tire shop can swap them over for you. Or you can order new ones, wide range of prices there. Most companies that you buy a wheel and tire package from use the ones that cost about $40-50 each. You can not disable TPMS system with a tuner.

I've seen tire shop state that they can't take them off to transfer them ( my 06 charger rt had them) because their are either too tight or they have to break them off to get the rubber off the tire to get more money so beware and do homework prior to going to get tires.

I think you can only disable 09-11 with a tune but 12 and up is a no-go.

^ got a link or seller? I did a quick search on my phone through the eBay app and found the cheapest for a set of 4 for $60. But I don't always find everything available through the app.
