New member here. Nice to be part of the Ram family.
I know its a subject that has been covered in multiple threads and i do apologize for asking but im having a hard time finding a definitive answer.

What i have...2016 2500 with 285-60-20
What i want...315-55-20

Im looking to go wider and not taller. I got to the 315-55-20 by doing a tire comparison chart. It seems to give me what i am looking for without the spedo,ABS issues. I really dont want to do any lift or spacers if i dont have to.

My biggest concern is the dreaded tire rub at lock. The new tire size is 1.2" wider.

Here are the specs...
Stock....... Non stock
Dia- 33.5...... 33.6
Width-11.22....... 12.4
Sidewall-6.73...... 6.82
Circ- 105.1..... 105.6

285/60R20 = 33.5X11.22R20
315/55R20 = 33.6X12.4R20

Thanks for any info! Great forum!:)

Welcome to the forum Sir !

What I'd do if I wer you .
I'd get under the truck and measure how much room you have know @ all parameters of wheel position and add a1/2" for bounce then compare those #s with the size of tires you want .

I can't imagine with a 2500 you'd have any rubbing issues with that set up . In fact I think you could go a bit larger if wanted .

Hope this helps ! And again Welcome to the Ramily! !

Oh and Damn nice Truck !

Planed on getting under the truck today with a tape. Good call on the half inch for bounce. Didn't think of that. The numbers say it will work but until I take actual measurements, I won't be sure. Thanks for the reply.
