Time for tires.. i have a stock blackout 1500 with 20's.
275/60/20
I tow often.
It is a 2wd but i wouldn't mind bigger tires but not super aggressive off road style.

What are the best options for brand and other sizes to try?

your gonna get a lot of different answers to those questions.
I'll start, since its 2wd and your tow a lot, id look at Micheline tires, if your not concerned with price. IMO, i would not go bigger size, just stick with stock.

Unfortunately the bigger tires are all aggressive a/t or m/t.

Personal experience I really liked the cooper discover h/t they handled the rain great way better than factory goodyears. Not sure what that translates to on a boat ramp but they helped a lot in the rain.

New Tires

I recently just put new tires on my truck, the SR-A's that were on it from the factory were not so good. I was down to like 3/32 at 18K miles (I bought the truck used @ ~14K). I ended up going with the Cooper Discoverer LSX Plus (a tread pattern exclusive to NTB, Big-O, Tire Kingdom) and really like them so far! The wet traction has been quite good, and they ride pretty nicely on the highway! I'm yet to tow on them though.

Here is the page on them.

I really really like the Michelin LTX M/S 2's. If you want them a little more knobby get the A/T 2's, but they wont last as long.

I think these are the best rated all season tires on the market right now.

This is my first time posting here. I did a lot of research for tires; on these forums as well as many other websites and such. I recently purchased a 2014 Big Horn with only 19,000 miles but, I hated the factory Goodyears. I found a Merchant's Tire near me that had Cooper Discoverer RTX's on sale for buy two-get two free. Total out-the-door price was $645.00 for all four tires, alignment, and lifetime balance/rotation/flat repair.

I have a little over 1500 miles on them now and, so far, I'm very pleased. It's been raining around here for nearly 20 days straight and they do extremely well. Road noise is almost non-exsistant. As far as off-road traction, the only thing I've had it in so far has been wet grass/topsoil mud and they did better than expected to say the least. They self-clean exceptionally well with very few small stones making it back out to the hard road. Dry road handling has been a bit better than expected with little to no noticeable roll over from the sidewalls on hard turns and track straight down the highway.

I stayed with the factory size of 275/60 -R20 in case that was an upcoming question.

All-in-all, I'm very satisfied with the RTX's. I ran my former 2005 Ram 1500 workhorse over 230,000 miles and went from Goodyears to Coopers to Falkners. I've always had good servie from the Coopers; generally avaraged around 40,000 miles out of the HT Plus. Hopefully the RTX's will last at least that long.
