Hey y’all, I have a 2016 2500 that’s all stock. I have no lift, spacers, or the latter. I am trying to get some rims and tires and I have no clue what size to get. I was wondering if 20x9 with a 0 mm offset rims were what I should get or not. I don’t know much about trimming and what rubbing does to a truck, but if some one has some knowledge I’d like to know. I currently have Cooper Discoverer AT3 on ugly stocks. Thanks guys.

I dont think that size wheel will be your issue. It’s gonna be the amount of rubber you put around them. Some Factory wheels are 20x9 with I believe with 43mm offset. Could be wrong but if you were to put say a 37in tire on that wheel with no lift then you will have some rubbing issues. So as long as you stay around a 33-35in tire you probably won’t have any issues. I know someone with more info will chime in but it’s going to boil down to the size tire you want to run.

Know your local laws on offset if you want to move the tire outside the flare, some states don't allow this. If you stay with factory offset you have no worries, but limited options for rims. 20x9 is not very aggressive by themselves of course you missed diam, fairly small for a 2500 on width. Stock size is 9.6 wide, 30.5 dia. If you don't have any flares now, not even those small 1 inch ones, if you go aggressive with offset generally all you have to do is install flares if you get a ticket. But, me personally I dont prefer small tires that stick out past fenders.

I'd go 33/34 minimum on tire if it were me, 11-12 wide inch rims. I like 35's as an all around tire, but I am an older dude, I think most guys want 37's o better on 2500's. That is a commitment though, 33-34's are plug and play.

my 2014 1500 with a 2.5in leveling kit with 20in oem running 35x12.5 i need a 1/2in spacer or i would rub at full lock. running a more negative offset will make that worse.
