I've been searching for a used cap for my truck for six weeks and haven't had any luck. Yesterday I decided that I was done looking and just needed to bite the bullet and order one. I got up this morning and drove across town to place the order for an ARE V Series for my RCSB. When I pulled into the lot I noticed a rack with 8 different caps on it, one of them a black ARE. I didn't look too long, just told myself "don't bother getting your hopes up".
I went inside and started talking with the guys and told them what I was after. One of them says "I think I've got one outside that'll work", a few minutes later he confirmed it and I couldn't believe it. I had already accepted that I was going to wait a month but there it was. I wasn't going to buy anything fancy, just the base model. This one has fold out side windows, a sliding/fold in front window and and the luggage rack tracks up top. Ended up costing me $150 more than I would have spent but I figured the added features and lack of wait was more than worth it.
Came home, walked in the door and my wife tells me UPS stopped by and the delivery guy was nice enough to stack my new wheels in the garage. I ordered them from Custom Offsets four days ago and the receipt email said to expect 10-15 days for delivery.
35" Nitto Ridge Grapplers will be ordered Monday and I'll be done spending big chunks of change on her for awhile. I was supposed to be out of town on a business trip this weekend, glad it got cancelled!
