I'm thinking about buying a hitch mounted motorcycle carrier. Ready to ride the bike weighs 515 lbs and the carrier weighs about 85 lbs (600 lbs total).

The truck is a 2017 Laramie 4wd crew cab with hemi, 8 spd and 3.92. Would the hitch support 600 lbs? It came with the hitch from the factory (class IV) I believe.

This is how it would ride.61WDMbMcfXL._AC_SY400_.jpg

tongue weight is 10% usually, so, if you are rated to tow at least 6000lbs then you should be good to go.

It's rated to tow up to slightly more than 10k so I guess I'm good. Thanks

Yes, 1100 lb tongue weight is the maximum. You can read that in the notes on the towing guide:
https://www.ramtrucks.com/assets/towing_guide/pdf/2017_ram_1500_towing_charts.pdf

My KTM rides on a MotoTote which I really like. Much easier than trying to get it into the bed, plus I can leave my hard cover on the truck. You'd need their larger version because the smaller one I use has a 500 lb limit.

With 600 lbs on the back, your Ram will have no trouble except maybe a bit of bounce on expansion joints or the like. I occasionally get that with mine on certain sections of freeway. I have some Timber Grove airbags I plan to install that I hope will fix that, as well as help when I tow my Kodiak trailer.
