Good afternoon y’all. New to the forum and hoping to get some knowledgeable answers. I have a 2014 Laramie Longhorn 4x4 and on accel, mostly in the lower gears and especially when I just “feather” the gas a little to go up a small incline, my truck shudders. I’m also noticing that it seems to do it more when cold, but doesn’t necessarily go away when warm. It doesn’t seem to shudder if I gas on it hard, just when I accelerate normally.

I had a shuddering issue with a Tahoe I used to have and it turned out to be a torque converter, but it shuddered at all speeds. I’m just curious if any of you have had this issue and am I looking at a new TC, transmission, or something else. It has the sealed transmission, so the fluid has never been changed and I have about 106,000 miles on the truck. Is it possible it just needs to be opened and a fluid change? Any info would be most helpful. Thanks y’all.

You're due for a transmission service as ZF reconmends doing one between 50,000 and 80,000 miles or every 8 years.
Whether it fixes your issues who knows, but unless you service it,you'll never know.
Lots of threads on here on servicing the 8 speed, use the search button up in the right hand corner.
These are the instructions that come with a brand new truck specific 8 speed when bought through the dealer.
Pay attention to the very first paragraph, generally most trucks need the rear tires roughly 9" in the air to level the transmission
