I’ve got new tow mirrors with turn signals and puddle lights. The problem is my truck didn’t come with this option. Is there a some what easy way to wire them directly into the turn signals and the puddle into the cab lights

You can have the blinker/puddle light codes enabled by the dealer and not have to add any wiring at all. The correct codes are LEB and LEC. You can also have the tow mirror code enabled so the will adjust correctly when they are in the up position. You can also easily enable them yourself with the Alpa tool and OBD link MX as many have done. The Alpha tool app plus the OBD Link MX will cost about as much as a trip to the dealer and can be used to enable tons of other codes. I reccomend reading the first page of Alfa OBD thread. One thing to note is many of the aftermarket tow mirrors seem to have wiring issues that cause the blinker and or puddle light not to work even when the correct codes are enabled. I'm pretty sure the Trailridge brand is one of the aftermarket companies that seems to be ok if you decide to go aftermarket.

The OBDtool is an amazing product when paired with alfaobd. And chances are whatever you are wanting to do someone here has done and it's in the Alfapbd thread.

I have the Trail Ridge and my puddle lights and turn signals work but my truck had those from the factory already. Mine do not correctly orient the adjustment though when they are flipped up. I may go with AlfaOBD to fix that but to me it isn't that big of a deal as I only tow my boat a few times a year.

He may have to buy the correct modules for them to work, correct?

No, his door modules will be fine for all the options except Power Fold Mirrors. You can enable the tow mirror option with the Alfa tool so they adjust correctly when you have them open.
