Hey y’all,

I have a 2017 Ram 1500 Tradesman and I’m trying to find some tow mirrors for the truck but I can’t find them anywhere! I don’t have all the bells & whistles so no turn signal light and no puddle light. I’ve read on here that you can get the codes for those lights flashed on the truck but I’m not sure if there’s a way to do that without going to the dealership. Also, I just can’t find the right mirrors. Can anybody help steer me in the right direction? Thanks!

Depending on how long you want to wait I'll be selling mine soon. And you can get those bells and whistles turned on by dealer.

me and my son (as well as many others on here) bought the Trail Ridge aftermarket from 1A Auto. Had them almost a year now and can't tell the difference between them and OEM.
As far as the extras, you can use AlfaOBD to flash the codes but you'd have to ask others about that as mine already had the stuff i needed

I have a pair that I bought from opt7. They have all the bells and whistles except auto folding.

I took them off because they were too magnified for my every day driving. If I were towing a 20' trailer, the magnification would be great for seeing the end of the trailer. They're 190 new, I only used them for 6 months and could part with them for pretty cheap. If you want, just Pm me.

I'm running the Trail Ridge brand from 1AAuto as well. As @dhay13 said, you can't tell them apart from OEM and they're 1/4 the cost of OEM.

Well here is the deal with that...lol. I bought my truck in May 2018 with stock mirrors. My son bought his end of July 2018 and had to tow his camper 1500 miles about a week later so we were trying to find tow mirrors ASAP. I called a few dealers and there were only 10 pairs in the entire country. I called 3 of those 10 places (1 in Michigan, 1 near Columbus, OH, and one in I think New York). One place only had 1 mirror in the box, 1 had them but refused to sell them as they wanted to keep them in case a new truck buyer needed them to close a deal, and 1 had them but had no idea if they were power fold and couldn't figure out how to find out if they were. They said they were on backorder until November. Called again early December and at that point there were only 6 sets left in the country and they were backordered until at least May 2020. So we went with the Trail Ridge. Not sure if you can even get OEM's anymore.
But here is the other catch...at that time they could order them separately for about $1000 but the set was only about $600 (but you couldn't get them). I paid $499 for my Trail Ridge. Mine have everything except auto-dim.

My setp-father has a 2017 Laramie Longhorn with the OEM tow mirrors and I was parked next to him and they looked identical other than his were chrome. His are not power folding but mine and my sons are.

Not sure if the 2020 are the same or not. On the 1500 I'm pretty sure they are different but the 2500 might be the same. Might want to call 1A to see if they know.

I have a 2019 Big Horn Classic and believe the 2018 mirrors will work but on their web page they only show power folding as an upgrade. I have the power folding mirrors and don't think I need the "upgrade" power folding, or maybe I don't speak the language.
Looks like I will loose auto dimming also.

Not sure where you are looking but a lot of the knock off mirrors have had issues. I've heard the Trail Ridge brand is a good aftermarket brand or you can just search for a good set of used OEM mirrors. If your truck already has power folding mirrors than as long as the new mirrors are power folding capable they should work. Losing the Auto Dim would also suck. Your 19 Classic takes the same mirrors as the 13 to 18 trucks. I would search around if I were you and find a mirror with the Auto Dim as well as the power fold. To verify a mirror is power fold check the black mirror connector for a blue wire and a yellow wire. If it has that it's a power fold mirror. If the mirror has a white connector as well as the black connector with two or more wires is an auto dim mirror. You can also tell a mirror is Auto Dim by the diameter of the plastic trim ring around the edge of the mirror glass. The auto dim mirror has a much thicker trim ring.
