Unfortunately, an idiot backed into my truck in a parking lot. It caved the driver's side door and busted my tow mirror. I had the body shop order the power folding tow mirrors from 1a. The shop is going to paint the chrome black while they have it. While the truck is in the body shop and I am out of the country, I've ordered the door modules and door switch. When I get home, I will take it to the dealership to get flashed. Hopefully then, I will have my black, power folding, heated, power adjusted, signal lighted, puddle lighted TOW mirrors with the cool little button inside to play with.

I'm not worried about the lights because I already have them. I'm more worried that I'll lose the power fold option and then what would be the point of spending extra for that feature.

It is my understanding that if you had the factory power fold little mirrors, the power folding tow mirrors are just a simple swap. No need to mess with modules of get your truck flashed. If you had factory tow mirrors, then you have to buy the modules, switch, and have the dealer flash the truck

I thought 1A said that with their mirrors all you needed was the switch as it is wired differently than the stock power folding mirrors.

I dont know about that. I hope they are wired the same as the factory. My plan will not work if they are not.

1aauto always just says their mirrors with whatever features will work on a truck with the same features so i doubt they would wire the power fold differently

Mine will be here next week hopefully so I'll know what works and what doesn't. You have to flash to get the mirror to recognize that it's flipped from my understanding so the controls aren't out 90 degrees.

If your truck already has the power fold option from the factory, you can use your factory switch, it would be a direct plug and play replacement.

We also sell these mirrors with an installation kit if your mirrors didn't come from the factory with the power fold option. The power fold feature would get hard wired, then you would need to place the switch in the cab to control the mirrors.

One more question about the power fold tow mirrors. Do the mirror adjustment switches work correctly when the mirrors are flipped up to tow position? I've read in the past about needing a flash when going from the standard power fold mirrors to the regular non power fold tow mirrors. I ordered my truck last year because I need the power fold mirrors to get into the garage and I wanted the 3.92 and brake controller, but not the tow mirrors because they didn't power fold. Seems like it could be the best of both worlds now.

Tony, what is 1A's part number for the installation kit? I might need that.
