Tow Mirrors

I m looking at purchasing a set of tow mirrors for a 2015 Ram Sport. I'll likely colour match them down the road so just curious if I should avoid the chrome mirrors? Or can they be painted over without and sticking issues?

I would avoid doing the chrome and sticking with all black ones for future painting.

Either way, both are going to require a lot of prep. The chrome you would want to blast in some way to get the chrome off and the black you would need to sand smooth bc they are a rough type texture.
