8000 pounds of what? A travel trailer will suck a lot more fuel than pulling a trailer filled with gravel.


Wow, that's not good to hear the wife and I decided to rent one first to see if we are going to like it or not.

Running ~8400 and 9.8-11.2 mpg sticking primarily to backroads with the cruise set at 58. Mind you it's only set on the flats. Right foot does the work in the hills. Granted, it's a 5.7 1500 so your 2500 might see variance.

Yeah, that is what I was thinking myself that I should see about 9 to 10 mpg or maybe a little more on flat ground but in the Pacific Northwest not likely.
