I have a 2017 Ram 1500 SLT 4wd, 3.6L, 6 cyl engine with rear axle ratio of 3.21. I would like to know if this truck would have no problems pulling this rv trailer:

2018 Jayco Jay Flight
  • Dry Weight2,410 lbs
  • Trailer Weight2410 lbs
Thanks,

Jerry

If the dry weight is 2410 lbs, I doubt the GVWR is much if any over 4K lbs. Even loaded to it's max you shouldn't have any problems towing that.

Shouldn't have any problems at all with that weight.

Unless that's a pop up camper, remember that it's the air you'll be pushing, not the weight.

^^^ Years ago I had a 4 cylinder Dakota. Nearly every weekend I would pull a U-Haul with 3,200-3,500 pounds worth of band equipment & another 3-400 pounds of drums in the bed. It did "alright" on normal days, but if I were going into 20-25mph winds head on, it was all that I could do to get down the road. Oddly enough I put 100k trouble free miles on that truck before I sold it. Never even replaced the clutch.

assuming you have not lifted the truck added huge tires and kept thing pretty much stock, no problems at all with that trailer.

Same truck, same specs, slightly larger trailer. Tows beautifully, don’t fear higher rpm, pentastar needs to rev some.

I have a 2014 4x4 crew 5.7 that's bilstein lifted/leveled, on 35's, I'm pulling a 24' car hauler which is 3700lbs empty, can hold and will hold 6k of stuff, I wouldn't sweat it.
