It depends on what trim level, cab configuration you have.

My wife had a 2001 Durango with that motor. It's fairly stout.

That said, we would need more information on your truck to say for sure.

My gut instinct is that yes, you COULD, but you're going to need at minimum a weight-distribution hitch and sway control, get a brake box installed if you don't have one, and don't load the trailer very heavy. Even then, it's not going to pull it WELL.

What the payload sticker on your door say. Payload & hitch weight is typically your limiting factor.

We will need some more info before we can give you a guess. Does it have tow package? Does it have a trans. cooler? What gears? Does it have A LOT of miles? Had a 4.7 in my Dakota & it pulled just alright. It wasn't geared very well at all. Think it had 3.23's or 3.55's.

I had a 2007 1500 with 4.7 and 3.92's. It was a pig. The 2007 only had about 235HP and the 2009 was quite a bit more IIRC. My truck struggled to tow a 3500lb 14x7 enclosed trailer at highway speeds. It was fine it town at lower speeds but with the frontal area and wind resistance I went from Pittsburgh to Indianapolis and got about 7.5 MPG and it rarely came out of 4rd gear (5 speed auto). I'm sure the 2009 would be better since it has more HP. I think 2008 they went to 16 plugs in the 4.7 and it added about 40HP I think.

The 2009 4.7 is rated at 310hp and 330 ft/lbs and depending on gearing and chassis configuration the tow rating is 6000+ (3.55) or 7000+ (3.92). Note that these numbers assume an otherwise pretty much empty truck. Also keep an eye on the payload as the tongue weight eats a lot out of it.
A 23ft camper weighing 5500 lbs is probably wishful thinking, my trailer is a little under 23ft overall and weighs 6000-6200 lbs ready to roll and that's with much of the storage still unused.
